"Do not allow the magnitude of the infinity, the immensity of the eternity, and the grandeur and glory of the matchless character of God to overawe, stagger, or discourage you; for the Father is not very far from any one of you; he dwells within you, and in him do we all literally move, actually live, and veritably have our being."

For Our World
by Mattie Stepanek
We need to stop. Just stop. Stop for a moment.
Before anybody
Says or does anything That may hurt anyone else. We need to be silent. Just silent. Silent for a moment.
Before we forever lose
The blessing of songs That grow in our hearts. We need to notice. Just notice. Notice for a moment.
Before the future slips away
Into ashes and dust of humility. Stop, be silent, and notice.
In so many ways, we are the same.
Our differences are unique treasures. We have, we are, a mosaic of gifts To nurture, to offer, to accept. We need to be. Just be. Be for a moment.
Kind and gentle, innocent and trusting,
Like children and lambs, Never judging or vengeful Like the judging and vengeful. .And now,
Let us pray,
Differently, yet together, Before there is no earth, no life, No chance for peace.

Nothing is ever lost, perhaps the memory becomes frailed, but the essence continues to grow future generations, as 9/11 does with tears and grief. We lost too many loving people in that destruction, that our senses are blinded by our needs to know, understand and comprehend. Things that we cherished were taken away from us in an instant flash of fire. And as we looked through the debris of our 9/11 disasters, we ask for guidance and wisdom. Our boat has been cast adrift from its normal moorings and we need to chart our own course back home.
We are hindered and hobbled by our sense of rage and revenge. Yet, anger will not bring us the freedom to reflect. Hatred may bring retribution but without resolution and without redemption. Our spirit longs for closure; our soul cries for wisdom.
I have assembled on these pages wise and thoughtful women and men whom you may use as guides to your own inner-most pilgrimage to wisdom, your wisdom.
A spiritual pilgrimage was thrust upon all of us on that fateful morning of 9/11/2001. Explore the teachings of Thomas Merton, the Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Amma, Martin Luther King, the Urantia Book, Krista Tippert and others. And most of all, ask for spiritual guidance from the Holy Spirit/our Heavenly Father and begin your journey with the knowledge that the Universal Creator Father mourns as deeply as you do for His children's children who were lost on that September day, 9/11.
